Erin brings a lifetime of passion for adolescent education to her work with The College Partnership. She earned her Bachelor’s in Adolescent English Education from SUNY Cortland, where she also was a member of the DIII women’s ice hockey team. She completed her Masters in Teaching English Language Arts at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2015 and is currently a Doctoral candidate at the University of Vermont with a research focus on teaching writing.

 

Erin has worked in education for over 13 years, teaching and coaching hundreds of students. It is her profound belief that everyone can write and with a little guidance and encouragement students can write personal essays that truly speak to their individuality. Her greatest joy comes from working with teens to find their voice, their true sense of self, both in writing and on the ice.

For over twenty years, John has been dedicated to guiding students and their parents through the complex college search and application process. As the Director of College Counseling at two independent boarding schools, he has honed his expertise in assisting prospective college athletes to find institutions that are the best match for them.

 

As a school administrator, teacher, and parent of a high school student, John understands the pressures and concerns that families face when navigating the college search. His approach is centered on reducing anxiety and promoting self-discovery, making the process thoughtful and predictable for his clients.

 

John's psychology background and his experience as a student-athlete give him unique insights into the college admissions process. He played hockey and lacrosse at Williams College, where he earned his degree.

 

With John's guidance, students and parents can feel confident and empowered as they embark on this important journey.

Steph was an accomplished collegiate athlete in women's Ice Hockey; she graduated from Plattsburgh State in 2010 as a two time National Champion, a two time All American, as well as receiving player of the year honors in the ECAC West and named female athlete of the year. Steph was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2023 at Plattsburgh State. In her professional career she took her passion for sports and put her energy into recruiting, leading, and guiding future athletes towards their goals.

With a strong coaching background, Steph brings 12 years of collegiate coaching knowledge to the college search process for the student athlete. She has worked at an Ivy League School, two NESCAC Schools, a state school, and at a college that provides athletic scholarships - she is a wealth of information specific to guiding student athletes at all levels.  

The most fulfilling area for Steph is working with student athletes and helping them navigate their goals and flourish by finding the balance of athletics and academics to help propel them towards their professional ambitions.
